Standing on the 22nd floor of the University of Washington Tower, Seattle, to the south, is laid out perfectly before me. It is a cool, gray, wet November day. The trees are dazzling the landscape in vivid oranges, reds, and browns. The evergreens never give up their green. The water is blue. It looks cold and unforgiving. Towers and skyscrapers dot the horizon. They stand tall as if representing the city's strength. Clouds mask the sun, as is tradition this time of year. Sailboats pass by with no real place to go. Cars and people find themselves in the strange dance of ants. All headed in uniform directions. Bridges have a way of tying the whole thing together. Mountains are nowhere to be found, as is tradition this time of year. I assure this though, they guard us like Gods and will never hesitate to make their presence known...
And here I stand, playing God for the first and only time in my life.
Thanks for entering my world,
-Nathan
