Some 2018 highlights:

• On December 3rd, this little corner of the internet celebrated its ninth anniversary.

• In those 9 years, we’ve published 1,348 essays and reviews.

• What was once just a hobby has grown into a fully supported website publishing content several times a week to multiple social media platforms and actually earning a small amount of money.

• In the last year, nearly 5,000 people have visited Natetheworld.com. If you are one of those people, I want to say thank you!

I am very excited about 2019 and the opportunity to celebrate 10 years with you all! As I do every year around this time, I am beginning to plan the content calendar for next year. I try to find three things to focus on throughout the year in an effort to keep everything you read here fresh, vibrant, and relevant. Below, are some of the things I am cooking up for 2019.

Announcing the 2019 Writing Challenges

For 2019, I will continue my current writing challenge called “Box on the PCT” as I journal my efforts to conquer the Pacific Crest Trail beginning in April 2020. Accompanying that writing challenge will be a brand-new series called “A Reader on a Journey.” For 2019, I will be reading and writing about books where the main focus is to conquer an epic quest.

Finally, in 2019, I am dedicating myself to diversifying the type of content offered on Natetheworld.com. For me, this means ever more podcasts, vlogs, and special member-only opportunities. I know you are busy and may not have time to dig into a long essay. With more ways to listen and watch, we hope this will give more people an opportunity to be a part of this community.
